About the Event
Raising standards and keeping children safe is at the core of the Children's Activities Association. All children's activity providers have a duty of care to the children that attend their groups and classes to promote their welfare and keep them safe. The safeguarding legislation across the whole of the United Kingdom states you must have arrangements in place to safeguard children.
All organisations should have a minimum of one Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who takes lead responsibility for any safeguarding and child protection issues.
Ann Marie Christian, Safeguarding Expert and NSPCC-Accredited Trainer will be running whole day DSL training on Friday 10th March 9am-4pm. The training will cover:
Safeguarding in our setting Legislation and guidance Roles and responibilies of the DSL Thresholds of child protection The referral process Multi-agency work Creating a culture of safeguarding
£150 for CAA members/£160 non-members
