Reassuring Parents

Creating safer environments in children's activities

Did you know the children’s activities sector isn’t governed by the same regulations as schools and nurseries?

That it’s mostly unregulated and there’s no official obligation for providers to undergo training or checks?

Scary right?

So how do you know which have? What questions should you be asking to ensure your children are safe?

Easy! Just ask to see their CAA badge!

Who is the CAA?

The Children's Activities Association (CAA) is an industry-led not-for-profit that supports self-regulation within children’s activities.

Run by children’s activity professionals, the CAA’s mission is to raise standards across the sector, ensuring all children have access to a range of safe and enriching activities.

We support children's activity providers of all sizes to create safer environments, giving parents and carers peace of mind. â€‹â€‹â€‹

What does the CAA badge mean?

All our Members undergo Certification, which means we’ve asked those questions about safeguarding, safety, and best practices for you.

Once a provider has evidenced that their policies, procedures, and standards meet the CAA benchmark, they are awarded a CAA badge. Assuring you that your children are in good hands. Our Accredited Members have gone even further, evidencing that they meet the highest industry standards!

How do you know if an activity provider is a CAA Member?

Firstly, they will have a CAA badge. Our Members are proud of their badge and use it across all their marketing collateral. So check out their website. If they have a badge, you know they're a member.

Or, you can go to Our Members page, where we list all of our current Certified and Accredited members. Our membership is always done at a company level. So all businesses within a Member franchise have met the CAA's benchmark.

Supporting schools, nurseries & venues

The Children's Activities Association (CAA) also supports schools, nurseries, and venues looking to work with 3rd party activity providers.

CAA Affiliated Schools, Nurseries & Venues have committed to ensuring that all 3rd party providers that they work with either have a CAA badge or at least have the fundamentals outlined in the CAA checklist in place.
