About the Event
Raising standards and keeping children safe is at the core of the Children's Activities Association.
All children's activity providers have a duty of care to the children that attend their groups and classes to promote their welfare and keep them safe.
The safeguarding legislation across the whole of the United Kingdom states you must have arrangements in place to safeguard children.
All staff must complete safeguarding training on an annual basis and all newly appointed staff should also complete this training before commencing employment.
Ann Marie Christian, Safeguarding Expert and NSPCC-Accredited Trainer will be running safeguarding training on Thursday 9th March 9am - 12 pm. The training will cover:
Safeguarding in our setting Legislation and guidance Roles and responsibilities of DSL Thresholds of child protection The referral process Multi agency work Creating a culture of safeguarding.
